SHOW NOTES

Welcome (01:01)

Hello and welcome to the show; hello to new and returning listeners. On to the plan for today's show:

  • Recent creative exploits
  • Dinner parties with Martine and Charles
  • Giveaway update

Recent Creative Exploits (02:25)

Knitting

Check out my free pattern, the Basic Beanie, here: Basic Beanie Pattern. These would make good chemo caps, check out US charity, Halos of Hope, as mentioned on the Knitmore Girls' Podcast. Here's the Mini Christmas Sweater pattern on Ravelry and Craftsy. You can find iMake Magazine Issue 2 here. I have started a Merry Knitalong ball for this month - it's got a squirrel on it! I am still loving Arne and Carlos's 55 Christmas Balls to Knit. I am on a mission to finish Preppy Twisted (pattern by Voolenvine) for my stepfather. Will I make it?

Crochet

Thanks to PomPom Quarterly, I am contemplating crochet! The pattern is a fabulous scarf called Vintage Bullion and it uses 5 skeins of Quince and Co Puffin.

Other craft news

Cross stitch has been rediscovered and I love Subversive Cross Stitch by Julie Jackson (review coming soon on the blog, it includes cheeky language - you have been warned!) Art class is going well - we were loving Georgia O'Keeffe last week. Don't forget to pick up your copy of iMake Magazine issue 2. Oh and then there's then running! Here's my marathon training blog: Run Martine Run. Finally, I am loving The White Queen Books by Philippa Gregory.
